Carrie Hennessey
Cinnabar in the Garden
Cinnabar’s beloved music director, Nina Shuman, conducts our orchestra in a concert of lush romanticism. Included on the program: Grieg’s Holberg Suite and Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll. Special to our Summer Music Festival audience, soprano Carrie Hennessey, who just performed the role of Emmeline in Tobias Picker’s opera by that name, makes a guest appearance for Barber’s stunning Knoxville: Summer of 1915. Plus, Cinnabar’s longtime clarinetist, Larry London joins us for Aaron Copland’s Clarinet Concerto. All this in one of Petaluma’s most beautiful private gardens.
Cinnabar in the Garden is a benefit performance: proceeds go to COTS.
COTS - Committee on the Shelterless provides safe shelter, comprehensive programs and skill-building classes for homeless families, children and individuals in Sonoma County. We feed people in our community who are living on the edge by providing daily hot meals and distributing groceries through our food box program. We support people in restoring their dignity, strengthening family bonds, achieving financial independence and finding stable housing.
