SPRING YOUNG REP CLASSES

Primary Musical Theater Monday ages 4 - 6

An introductory class to the world of the performing arts for our youngest performers. This one hour ensemble class will focus on basic acting, singing, and movement. This game filled fun class will help students develop and grow their love for the stage. Parents are invited to the final class for an open workshop.
Date and Time: Mondays, 3:50 – 4:50 February 27th – May 14th (12 classes)

Sing out loud, Sing out Strong ages 7 -12

This musical theater singing class focuses on developing proper technique that students can take with them on their performing arts journey. Students will learn to sing with joy using correct breathing and vocal technique and how to act song. This class culminates in an open workshop where students will show off their newly gained skills through song.
Date and Time: Mondays, 5:00 – 6:30 February 27th – May 14th (12 classes)

Beginning Acting ages 4 - 6

Improvisation, theater games, and ensemble theater activities are used to stimulate creativity and promote confidence within young performers in this introduction to theater class. Students will learn basic theater fundamentals in a fun and exciting way. This class cumulates in an open workshop for parents and friends.

Create and Perform ages 8-13

In this class our young performers learn the process of creating an original one act play. With the guidance of an instructor kids will write, direct, design and perform a show that is all their own. Kids will craft each of their roles in the show, both behind the scenes and on the stage, and work collaboratively in creating a theme. They take over everything even down to making the programs, to creating costumes, to making the show become something they can be proud of. There is opportunity for performers that prefer to be behind the scenes in this class.
