Xana what?

If you haven’t heard of this 2007 Tony nominated Broadway musical you are in for a treat.

The summer camps at Cinnabar are all about fun, and for pure joy and excitement on stage not many musicals can top this outlandishly enjoyable stage spoof of the outrageously infamous movie.

Set in 1980, when disco balls and roller skates made a fine match, XANADU follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach. Her quest is to inspire a struggling artist to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first Roller Disco (hey, it’s 1980).

Students will be rolling along singing classic pop music such as Evil Woman, Magic, Suddenly and of course the world wide chart toping title track Xanadu.

With a wonderful message about the power of imagination and how art can lead to love this musical theater comedy is sure to be the highlight of everyone’s summer so grab your glow sticks and your neon legwarmers and join us for some quirky and zany musical madness!

Xanadu is going to have us rolling in the aisles (it’s set in a roller disco so of course we’ll be on roller skates)
