Julia Harrell and Jennifer Wilsey Marimba/Percussion Duo
The dynamic marimba/percussion duo of Julia Harrell and Jennifer Wilsey was a natural outgrowth of their meeting as friends in 2007. As they began playing together, they immediately recognized their shared passion for creative music, world drumming and keyboard percussion. Their performances include an engaging blend of traditional and contemporary world and classical music for marimba and percussion, featuring the music of the Caribbean, Brazil, Europe and the Americas. Marimba Pulse is a celebration spanning the height of modern marimba technique to exotic hand drum grooves and joyful popular songs from around the world. In the second set of the performance, Julia and Jennifer will be joined by noted Bay Area bassist Rocky Clemenaugh.
