The Story: Four Englishwomen break free of their rain-drenched sorrows and oppression to delight in a month at a rented Italian castle, seeking the promise of better times and sunnier outlooks. Barber casts a warm, relaxed spell, guaranteed to bolster even the most sagging spirits. His superior character insight, poignancy and high comedy will keep audiences in thrall to the last moment! This is a superior “feel good” play that doesn’t manipulate or underestimate its audience. Those looking for surprises, redemption and, yes, “enchantment” couldn’t ask for better.
