Ever wonder how actors make fight scenes look so realistic? This one week camp will cover basic techniques needed to create a safe and effective fight for the stage. Students will focus on the basics of unarmed stage combat, falling, grappling, punches, kicks, etc. while learning how to work together, and gain experience in hand-to-hand combat choreography, tumbling, falling and working with some weaponry. Particular attention will be paid to the safeties required to perform fights as well as how to connect stage combat techniques to text, character and intention. This very active camp is a great introduction to fight choreography often used in productions such as Peter Pan. We are very excited to have fight choreographer Richard Pallaziol as the instructor for this camp. Please visit https://weaponsofchoice.com/about to learn a little bit about Richard.
Because of the nature of this camp we are only able to accept 15 students so enroll today to secure your spot.
