Conor
Michael McCullaugh is the Cinnabar Volunteer of the month for March.
As a very active member of the Cinnabar Pony Express
(the distribution crew for Cinnabar’s promotional
materials), Conor sees to it that Cinnabar’s
postcards and posters are all over Petaluma! A
fourteen year-old currently attending Cherry Valley
Charter School, Conor has been an active part of
the Young Rep since he was a wee pup of seven.
He has appeared in numerous Cinnabar productions
including It’s a Wonderful Life, Vaudeville,
The Wedding, Iolanthe, and Cowboys,
Orphans, Trombones and a Beagle. He is currently in rehearsal for Ruddigore. Outside of Cinnabar, Conor recently
appeared as Amahl in Amahl
and the Night Visitors at Sonoma State University (2004), a role he also
played at the Sonoma County Opera House in 2003.
In addition to singing and acting, Conor describes
himself as an animal lover and a workaholic. Other
interests include knitting, beadwork and cleaning.
And why would a young man donate his time to Cinnabar? “I
have no social life,” he deadpans. “Cinnabar
is a fun place to hang out with good friends. You
can’t go wrong here, because no one judges
anyone. I value my time here, I enjoy the staff
and the students, my ‘compadres.’ I
take nothing for granted. Helping is one of my
great pleasures in life.”
