Emily Roeder
Volunteer of the Month - October 2006
Why Volunteer of the Month?
Emily, along with Jean Stokes and Mary Poe, helped immeasurably in the office by copying music (a miserable job), organizing talent files, stage managing auditions and being generally right on the job whenever needed. Thank you, Emily!
About Emily
Emily Roeder was born and raised in Ohio. She received her BFA in graphics from Miami University, Oxford Ohio and enjoys a career as a graphic artist. Emily lives in Petaluma with her husband Walter and has two sisters, two nieces, four nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. When not slaving at Cinnabar, Emily enjoys painting, weaving, photography, hiking and volunteering.
Volunteering indeed! In addition to her work at Cinnabar, Emily also leads school tours as a Nature Interpreter at SSU’s Fairfield Osborn Preserve and at Shollenberger Park for the Petaluma Wetlands Alliance. “I also do various graphics work for the Santa Rosa Symphony League and am the current president of the Friends of the Petaluma Library and work at their book sales. “
Emily and Cinnabar
While Emily and Walter were still living in southern California, they were introduced to Cinnabar by her Petaluman sister who invited them to attend the Summer Music Festival.
“I sing in the Women's Chorus and we attend most of the productions. We really enjoy having such great performances of plays, operas and musical offerings in a nearby, local location.” |
