Rory
Keller is the Volunteer of the Month for September,
even though she didn't realize she qualifies as a "volunteer" -
she just loves theater in general and Cinnabar in
particular. She has been a supporter of Cinnabar
ever since arriving in Petaluma 10 years ago; writing
letters to the Editor praising the theater, to the
City Council imploring them to maintain funding,
and filling the theater with members and friends
of AAUW for a preview performance of The Playboy
of the Western World. Most recently, she opened her
Julia Morgan home to Cinnabar Theater for a production
in the Summer Music Festival series; she also responded
generously when Cinnabar wanted to buy a new grand
piano.
When not going to theater, Rory is in her second-year
term as president of Petaluma
Branch of AAUW (The
American Association of University Women); she
is also the librarian at the Cinnabar School, volunteers
at the Redwood Health Library, and has helped struggling
English-learners try to master the language.
She also enjoys working in the garden, bike riding
(she bikes to work), and travel. |
